Behind the doors of Studio Five Fifty you’ll find the newest owner, Morgan VerMerris. As COVID forced small businesses to close, Morgan pulled together all her resources to purchase the shop and keep its vision alive. To her, Studio Five Fifty is more than a salon, it’s a place for connection. “It represents the old-school salon concept where you see your friend in the beauty shop and you catch up on life,” said Morgan.

Morgan’s vision is to bring the Aveda brand and mission of sustainability and altruism to Heber and Midway. “Studio Five Fifty is like a freshly planted seed that’s just beginning to sprout. To me its representative of the exciting growth in the area.” Impressed with the community’s supportive response to the pandemic, Morgan believes that Aveda’s holistic mission will resonate with residents. “I would love to lead the community on embracing Aveda as a lifestyle choice that focuses on self-care and giving back.”
