Housing in Heber

THE FASTEST GROWING SMALL TOWN

Once considered a sleepy bedroom community, the Heber Valley is now thriving, and fully awake.

In fact, Heber City is the fastest growing small town in the United States and Wasatch County is the third fastest growing county in the country.

Undoubtedly, the picturesque Heber Valley has been discovered. It boasts three state parks, a 2002 Olympic venue, 90 holes of stunning mountain golf, several world-renowned ski resorts just a quick drive away, and most notably, views galore.

Vacationers from around the globe have turned their temporary visits into permanent residence and not surprisingly, real estate prices have jumped. The surge in residents has homebuilders working hard to keep up, but supply and demand is still skewed.

Elected officials are currently updating the city’s master plan through an initiative known as Envision Heber 2050. The main goal of this effort is to plan for the town’s future today and public input indicates the desire for a more thoughtful approach to development—both commercial and residential—to better address local real estate challenges and opportunities.
