Burgers, Burritos and Beers – Heber Valley Summer Dining Guide

Summertime Favorites – Heber Dining Guide

By Brandi Christoffersen

Certain foods just seem to go with summer, and these choice eateries create some of our absolute favorites.

Train Burger
This mouthwatering 1/4 lb. hamburger is topped with ham, Swiss & American cheese, Thousand Island dressing, tomato, lettuce and pickles. At the Dairy Keen, on Main Street Heber, all their burgers are created from scratch with fresh beef and a delicious bun.

Burrito Colorado
Don Pedros Mexican Restaurant thrills the tastebuds with this burrito stuffed with chunks of flank steak, cooked in a red chile sauce with onions and spices. Complement this with a fresh guacamole dip of avocados, tomatoes, onions, cilantro and spices.

Country Burger
Our team loves this burger which is served on Texas toast with Swiss cheese, grilled onions and fried potatoes. But with fourth generation recipes and secret ingredients, you can’t go wrong ordering anything at Betty’s Cafe.

Breakfast Burrito
Chick’s Cafe, “where people eat by choice, not chance” serves a scrumptious breakfast burrito filled with your choice of ham, sausage or bacon. A side order of Chick’s homemade hash browns and a cup of freshly brewed coffee will keep you going for the entire day.

Ground Tenderloin Burger
For the more discerning palette, may we recommend the 1/3 pound Ground Tenderloin Burger at Blue Boar Inn. Served with Dijon Aioli and Promess Frites, words can’t properly describe the flavor.

Z’s Burger
You will want to get the ingredients for Z’s Chop House secret sauce when it’s spread on a beef burger, with lettuce, tomato, onion and house-made pickles on a sesame bun. Plus our local’s tip is to add the avocado for an extra $2.00.

Mediterranean Veggie Burger
Spin Cafe’s whole grain veggie patty is topped with grilled zucchini, fontina cheese, roasted tomato jam, romaine on a whole wheat bun. This may be a veggie burger but with it’s combination of flavors and textures, you wouldn’t know it.

Cold Brewsky
After indulging in one of these delectable dishes, stop into Heber Valley Brewing and have the crew pour you a fresh brew on tap. Or get your meal to-go to and pick up some cans to take home.
