Thrills and Chills – Soldier Hollow

The winter sensations of zipping down a hill, flakes of snow peppering your face, cold air filling your lungs, adrenaline coursing through your veins aren’t solely reserved for skiing or snowboarding. A quick trip to Soldier Hollow provides a thrill for the whole family.

Soldier Hollow is home to Utah’s longest commercial tubing lanes—1,200 feet of sliding. Tubers can race, share a tube or link together, as they twist and turn headed downhill. The tubing hill is open during the day and evening hours for two-hour sessions. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Those looking for something with a little less vertical can cross country ski at the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center where they’ll find everything from gentle rollers to Olympic-level courses.

And if Nordic skiing isn’t quite your jam, the trails can be enjoyed at a slower pace by anyone who wants to snowshoe along the edges of the groomed network or blaze their own trail.
